uTime 2 Now Available!

With the arrival of iOS 10 tomorrow I thought it was time to step uTime up a notch! So I am very happy to announce that uTime 2 is now available on the iOS App Store!

One of the biggest things which you can find from this post is that the icon has changed a little bit. Of course it has our little stopwatch and name but the color has changed and it still is a perfect design.

However, if that was the only thing that came with version 2 than that would be a little disapointing so there are a lot of features baked into this update.

What’s New:
2 (Current):
-iOS 10 Support
-Today Widget! Now you can see how much time is left by using the today section of notification center! This keeps up to date with iCloud so everything is always up to date!
-If you have a device with 3D Touch Running iOS 10 if you force touch the uTime Icon on the home screen the widget will appear!
-Dark Mode: You can now select if you want UI Elements to be darker.
-Added animations to “change timer” sheet.
-Multiple timer deletion: You can now select multiple timers to delete all at once instead of having to swipe each one individually. Few!
-New Icon!
-Info Screen Text Improvements.

That’s right for the first time a uApps app has a widget for notification center (and if you’re running iOS 10 (which you should) on the homescreen itself).

The widget does allow you to move throughout iCloud timers and will be self updating with iCloud Timers.

I am so happy to be able to roll this out the same day iOS 10 launches and I hope all of you enjoy it.

Mockups of the iPhone 5S Fingerprint Scanner

Leaked iPhone 5S Box?
Leaked iPhone 5S Box?

One of the great theories of the iPhone 5S is that it is going to come with a fingerprint scanner inside the home button for better security of your phone. Recently a “leaked” box shows a newer home button with a ring around it. While no evidence says this is LED a designer made a mockup of the new iPhone 5S’s home button if the ring is an LED. All answers will be revealed in 2 days and I will have a rumor roundup video sometime soon.

Rumored iPhone 5 parts get assembled: Is this the Next iPhone?

The new iPhone is coming sometime soon, and whenever it does the rumor mill just starts going crazy. Today iLab put all the rumored parts we have seen for the next iPhone together and got the image above. Honestly I like it a lot. I was hoping they would give it more curves like an iPhone 2G/3G but I am pretty happy with how it came out. It looks amazing, nothing how I pictured it would have been. However if this is actually what we are going to see announced is still unknown. Full gallery:

Apple is getting in the Holiday Spirit with a New iPhone Ad

Apple seems to be getting into the holiday spirit by releasing a new iPhone TV Ad. The Ad features Santa clause using his 4s and Siri to help him out through his big night. Check it out!

Also if you go to google on your computer and type in “let it snow” without “” then you get a surprise. Plus I will be decorating the site in the next few days for the holidays along with some good holiday apps!

iPhone Nano?

With the upcoming release there has also been some reports of an iPhone nano or a budget phone going along with the next generation of iPhone. The phone would be a cheap alternative to the main iPhone 5 or 4S. BGR posted this article of what a source tells them.

“According to our source, Apple will indeed be launching a prepaid / lower cost iPhone this year.
We are told the handset will retail for no more than $350 without contract. Ready for the really interesting part? It’s entirely possible that the low-cost iPhone will in fact be the iPhone 3GS. Via BGR:http://www.bgr.com/2011/07/18/apple-to-launch-low-priced-iphone-for-350-iphone-4s5-end-of-summer/
Seems expensive for a budget phone? Not really as it doesn’t require a contract with AT&T or Verizon. Of course there might be the option of buying the iPhone 4 with contract for $50 or by having the 3Gs by having the 3Gs a free phone with signing up with a new 2 year contract. Or they could have all of this together which might not be the worst idea they have ever done. The question would be what doesn’t the iPhone nano have that the iPhone 5(4S) has??
