Apple Going To Discontinue Magic Mouse for Magic Trackpad?

Well I hope you all like trackpads because CultOfMac got news that Apple might be discontinuing the Magic Mouse for the new gesture friendly Magic Trackpad.

We’ve gotten word from a previously reliable source that Apple is discontinuing the Magic Mouse in favor of the Magic Trackpad. Our retail source has informed us that Magic Mouse inventory is not being replenished for Apple stores, and that Apple is finally phasing out the Magic Mouse.

This is very hard to believe because not everyone wants a trackpad. I would rather have a mouse than a trackpad for my desktop. This could be that they are going to have a different mouse all together that brings more gestures to the mac which Apple would probably do than just have the trackpad be the future. So basically what I think will happen is that the magic mouse is going to get an upgrade for the new gestures in lion.

Is this the iPhone 5?

The image above shows what appears to be a very sneaky shot of what appears to be an iPhone 5. Of course this could be fake but it looks just so nice! It does looks the same as an iPhone 4 but a lot thinner and look at the edges you see there is some curved edges.
The iPhone 5 is reported to be the same overall look of the iPhone 4 but thinner and with some curved edges. The photo above supports the theory of this. We have seen cases to support this could be the iPhone 5 as the case does look like it would easily fit in me of them. I would like to see this as the iPhone 5. So real or fake it does look very good.

Apple going to soon launch iTunes Replay

It seems Apple letting us stream TV shows and download them again is just the beginning. It is said that Apple will now let us stream and maybe even download Movies again for no charge. Now there is a downside to this though. You may be only able to download the movies 5 times for some content anyways.

In a nutshell, iTunes Replay is an extension to what Apple is already doing with iCloud and free re-downloads of previously purchased content. As Apple secures the remaining rights, TV Shows as well as Movies in iTunes will be given little arrow indicating whether they’re “iTunes Replay eligible”, that is, available to be downloaded subsequent times. Note that some content will unfortunately only be available to download five times and we don’t know how streaming will count towards that limit.

I think this would be a good feature to have with iCloud. It would be very helpful.

iPhone 5 could launch in September

Well it seems that the rumors of an October launch for the iPhone 5 might not be accurate. A new rumor says that Apple has started giving carriers iPhone 5’s to test them on their network. Also according to DigiTimes Apple has made an order for 10 million iPhone 5’s ahead of launch.

Pegatron Technology has landed orders for 10 million units of iPhone 5 to become the second ODM of the smartphone. Shipments will start in September, according to industry sources.

So it seems like it is going to be a September launch… At least for the U.S anyways.

What to remember about iPhone Prototype Images and Videos

With images and now even videos going around of what people say is the next iPhone I want to say a few things about this. Personally I don’t think any of them are real. The video that has been going around today has been fooling a lot of people. It is a knockoff. The reason I say this is because last year when Gizmodo got hold of an actual iPhone 4 apple was going nuts having it deactivated and people even going to get it. You couldn’t even get the phone to a lock screen and in the video he did so that’s why I say fake. Apple would be all over this. It is a knockoff of the OS as well if you look it looks likes jail broken iPhone and you wouldn’t be able to do that with a prototype. So look it is fake. A knockoff like those fake Apple stores in China. The design might be similar but I don’t think it is a prototype because it is still working and it looks like a jail broken iOS which again is impossible to get on an unreleased product. I mean it took forever for an iPad 2 jailbreak so there ya go. Sorry everyone.

Well it seems after a long waited time skype for the iPad is finally here. Now we are just going to have to wait for Facebook for iPad… So far the app works great for me and doesnt have any problems. Video calling requires iOS 4 or later. Video chats can be over wifi or 3G. iPad 1 can receive video calls just yu can’t broadcast video. I haven’t been able to find it in the App Store without a link so here it is! [App Store]
[Update] Skype said the app was released prematurely so they have pulledmit when it will be back is anyone’s guess so if you were lucky enough to get it than great. Sorry for those who didn’t get it in time.
