LTE iPhone Coming in 2012 with “Materially improved user interface”

Well here is something that can make people dream. A new report from Wedbush securities said the next gen iPhone will land in October alongside “an iPhone targeting emerging markets and an LTE iPhone in 2012 with a “materially improved user interface.”” While I just reported here that there is defiantly a possibility of 2 iPhones the iPhone 4S and the iPhone 5 coming October 4th it looks like. The LTE iPhone 5 would be a great thing to take control of faster 4G speeds and opening all new things for the iPhone that was not possible for 3G like FaceTime over cellular data. It makes me hope when my contract is up I can run out and get a LTE iPhone and that improved user interface would be great for iOS 6.

Former Vice President (And Apple Board Member) Al Gore confirms “New iPhones” in October

Yes we have said that October 5th would be the date the announcement would be and everyone is now set on October 4th but before that we were all speculating this month. When is it going to be? Well new iPhones yes iPhones are coming next month. Don’t believe me? Ok but do you believe former Vice President Al Gore who is also an Apple board member? Gore who is an every efficiency and environmental awareness driver in Cupertino said in an uncharacteristic plug “Not to mention the new iPhones coming out next month” This is the first time anyone at Apple has directly confirmed the launch of a new iPhone for next month. Also it is the first time someone from Apple has hinted at not one but 2 iPhones coming out next month which of course is the iPhone 4s, and iPhone 5. This doesn’t really prove anything until we see Tim Cook come on stage and tell us everything we want to know but it is better than all the crazy rumors floating around!

Sorry T-Mobile no iPhone 5 for you

Today T-Mobile has confirmed the rumor they would be the only major U.S wireless carrier that will not be getting the iPhone 5 unless of course Apple pulls a stunt and doesn’t give it to Sprint but I doubt that will happen. Of course you will probably still be able to get an unlocked GSM iPhone 5 and then stick a T-Mobile SIM in their and get EDGE but it seems T-Mobile customers. You have to deal a little bit longer without the iPhone 5 being cheap and 3G network compatible.

iPhone 4S Photos confirm A5 processer

Here is something that just will not quit. The rumor of the iPhone 4S having a new processor which is basically the only change in the iPhone 4s has a picture and that is what you see above. You can see everything is the same as the iPhone 4 but it has an A5 instead of the iPhone 4’s A4 processor. Maybe now we can lay this rumors to rest until the unveiling.

Here is a higher res photo:

Apple erasing iCloud backups September 22nd

Apple today has told it’s developers that starting September 22nd they will be be erasing developers iCloud backups meaning anything prior to September 22nd will be gone and during the erasing process you will not be able to back up or restore from iCloud or you will get an error.

On Thursday, September 22, the iCloud Backup data will be reset. Backing up to iCloud or restoring from an iCloud backup will be unavailable from 9 AM PDT – 5 PM PDT. If you attempt a backup or restore during this time, you will receive an alert that the backup or restore was not successful. After this reset, you will be unable to restore from any backup created priorto September 22. A full backup will happen automatically the next time your device backs up to iCloud.

So this most likely means the next iOS 5 update for developers will be the GM and the public release will be coming soon.

Apple Holding Media Event October 5th

Well here we go with the iPhone 5! A report today said that Apple will be holding a media event October 5th too announce new hardware. This news comes from PocketGamer a website dedicated to mobile video games. From PocketGamer:

In the sort of hush-hush operation whereby we’d have to kill you etc etc, it seems that Apple is gearing up for a slightly earlier than previously expected iPhone 5 launch.
Our inside source says there will be a press conference announcing the new hardware on October 5th, with retail release occurring a week later.

The symbolism works well too: iPhone 5, iOS 5, October 5.

If you have been following the iPhone 5 rumors you know this is one of the dates that was expected to be the Keynote for launching iOS 5, The new iPod line, and of course the new iPhone 5. The rumor for the actual day where you can get your hands on one of these devices is October 5th. So now we know when to expect to see all the hardware changes to the next iPhone.

Is this the iPhone 5 form? Apple rumor round up 9/15/11

Well it seems we have a lot of iPhone 5 news so lets get started!

iphone 5 to have radical new design according to new case-mate cases.

Well here is something that caught me. The Case maker Case-Mate has posted a new page on their site allowing people to get information on the iPhone and sign up for notifications when the iPhone 5 and cases are ready for the device. This page can be viewed here. The page has been pulled so thank you to BGR. You can also get to this page by going to case-mate.com and then scrolling over iPhone Cases and there will be iPhone 4s/5 categories both bring you to the same page. I sort of like the device mockup I don’t this this is actually what the device will look like and Case-Mate is going along with all the rumors but I definitely like the Aluminum back.

iphone 5 screen protecters show larger display and longer home button

Something didn’t seem right about that home button I reported on a while ago as the shape didn’t look right. And screen protecter makers must have thought the same thing as you see above is a screen protecter for what they think will be the iPhone 5 screen size and home button size. Notice that the home button hole is a large oval shape which has been reported for some time. I think it is real and it will in fact will fit the iPhone 5.

Sprint iPad 2 ready to go with iPhone 5?

Well here is something unexpected. It seems that Apple has ready a Sprint 3G iPad 2 that could launch alongside a Sprint iPhone 5.

Apple and Sprint have completed work on a version of the iPad for Sprint’s data network. This Sprint compatible iPad appears to be ready for public consumption and will join the family of GSM (AT&T) and Verizon capable Apple tablets before the holidays. With Apple soon launching a Sprint version of the iPhone – which we independently confirmed in June – we suspect that the Sprint iPad will come alongside or soon after that release.

This seems like a great way to expand the iPad to even more users and along with an iPhone 5 is a great idea. So will you pick up an iPad 2 on Sprint if it is a reality.

iMessage to be supported in MAC OS X Lions iChat?

Well here is something that might be unexpected to some but not me. Mac Rumors has found some hidden iChat code showing that iMessage a service that allows iPods, iPhones, and iPads to communicate over the web to the messages app will be coming to the Mac as well in the form of iChat.

@interface IMMessage : NSObject
{
IMHandle *_sender;
IMHandle *_subject;
NSAttributedString *_text;
NSString *_plainBody;
NSDate *_time;
NSDate *_timeDelivered;
NSDate *_timeRead;

The code you see above is the framework in iChat. The code shows the “time delivered” and “time read” which is in the current iMessage. Honestly I think this would be a great idea as you can have all your messages well now everywhere granted it isn’t an SMS and is an iMessage and well everyone I know uses an iPod, iPhone, iPad, or a Mac or all of those so this would be a great idea and I can’t wait to see it become a reality. It may even come with iOS 5 public release which is rumored to be October 10th. iMessage is still in developer preview and has not been released to the public but it does work very well for me.
