Well today seems to be a big day for Apple and I regret not waking up a little earlier. Well it seems Apple has released the new Mac Minis and MacBook Airs. It seems they didn’t release the New Mac pro or MacBook as we thought. The new MacBook air features Intel i5 and i7 processors, a thunderbolt port, and a backlit keyboard. The new Mac Mini has an i5 and i7 processor, a thunderbolt port, and it looks like to prove downloading is the future Apple has stripped it of the DVD port like when the MacBook Air was first introduced.

To Migrate from a Mac using Snow Leopard to a Mac with Lion you’ll need this

If you are planning to migrate from a Mac using Snow Leopard to a Mac using Lion you will need to get this update. Here are the release notes.

This update addresses an issue with the Migration Assistant application in Mac OS X Snow Leopard that prevents transfer of your personal data, settings, and compatible applications running Mac OS X show Leopard to a new mac running Mac OS X Lion.

This doesn’t matter if you are just going to be installing Lion on a new Mac though. It is only important if you are going to be transfering information from a Snow Leopard computer to a Lion computer. Seems we are getting ready for launch.

Apple has dedicated Lion boot server

You might have been one of the concerned people who was a little sketchy of being download only because there was thought to be no way to start from bootup disks like the past. Well thats not true. Well at least according to reports. The report says you will be able to bootup from an Apple dedicated Lion server and then you would be able to restore from a Time Machine backup or do a clean install. Also it is said Apple will have Mac Pro servers so you can connect to them at your local apple retail store and it would be a mater of minutes. This will be great for people who don’t have the fastest Internet in the world like me but I will still be downloading Lion right when it comes up hopefully tomorrow. I think all these servers are really cool and this is the way the future is going to be with operating systems.

Confirming that tomorrow might be the day that Lion Apple’s newest edition to the Mac operating system is that 3rd party mac sellers are starting to advertise Lion as shown above. This does help us confirm that Lion could be released to the public tomorrow morning. This Lang with the inventory shipments we posted in other articles below, a planned overnight for some Apple employes to install and get ready for tomorrow’s release, and the fact that AppleCare support centers have been going through training to get ready for Lion points to a near release. Check out the rest of the pictures from the store below!

9to5 mac has a picture(above) with the label “visual merchandising” which is basically advertising in store. So this is probably to drives having the lion demos on theme reported in an earlier post stating that Apple retail stores and AppleCare support centers were getting hard drives to install Lion. With other shipments coming in to maybe some stuff for the new macs rumored to come out alongside Lion. Maybe other packages have the macs themselves. We will find out soon what are in these mysterious boxes hopefully on Wednesday and remember we will have a full review of lion right when we can!
