More white iPod touch 5 rumors.

White iPads and white iPhones what’s next? A white iPod touch of course. 9to 5mac has gotten photos of what it claims is the next iPod touch in white. Of course the home button won’t be black. Well at least I hope not. Here is what 9to5mac has on their page.

“Since we posted photos last week of a white front panel for an iPod touch, more white iPod touch parts have emerged. Our first part photographs were taken in Asia, close to Apple’s manufacturing plants, and now these parts have begun to appear in the United States. Reader Lafayette from the East Coast of the United States has managed to obtain his own set of white iPod touch parts. These parts were marketed as being for the fourth generation iPod touch, and appear to fit perfectly based on this photo and the ones after the break. These white iPod touch parts started emerging this month, just weeks ahead of Apple’s annual iPod-focused event. With a typically credible analyst’s report claiming that the next iPod touch will not feature any external changes, one could assume that the white iPod touch parts we have seen are for a fifth-generation iPod touch with no external changes – other than the color. This would obviously allow them to fit on the current iPod touch model, too.”

Here is another image of the device.

Proposed iPhone 5 case shows bigger screen, curved back, thinner

20110727-022647.jpg

Today 9to5 mac got hold of images of a proposed iPhone 5 case that actually exist compared to the mockups below. The image does show a bigger screen, a thinner design than the iPhone 4, no volume buttons, and a curved back. Now there is room for a bigger home button but I don’t think they would have a bigger home button they would have the touch panel that we told you about yesterday. The design of the back seems to be very similar to the one of the iPhone 3G(s) just thinner.

Image above point to what the iPhone 5 could look like. Of course there will be some tweaks to the design but it looks really close because it looks like it will fit in the case and the mockups of the phone itself below. We’ll just have to wait till September.

New iPhone 5 reported case shows Design changes

I had to kind of find out more about this before I made a post not knowing what I was talking about but this is what is the new rumored iPhone 5 design. As you can see it takes back to the iPhone 3G design with a curved back which I am hoping to be aluminum and that seems to be a rumor out there as well. Also you can see that the screen size has been increased to 4 inches instead of the 3.7 inches of the current design. The home button seems to be replaced by a touch sensitive pad that reads gestures and acts accordingly like a gesture to play music perhaps or something in that nature. Also the ringer switch has been moved to the opposite side of the device and the volume up and down will be the touch sensitive buttons along with the home button. Remember all of this is rumors and might not be the real thing but personally I like the idea. The home button on my iPhone is getting worn down along with the volume buttons. I don’t think the screen is necessary but it might be nice!

Apple seeds iOS 4.3.5/4.2.10

20110725-023128.jpg

Well that’s fast. Just a few weeks after Apple released iOS 4.3.4/4.2.9 patching the jailbreak.me exploit and the tethered jailbreak exploit Apple has released iOS 4.3.5 for the iPhone on AT&T and 4.2.10 for the Verizon iPhone 4. Apparently the update fixes more security updates with the update stating “fixes security vulnerability with certificate validation.” To get the update plug in your iPhone to your computer and in iTunes then hit the but that says check for update then download and install.

New iPad TV ad “We’ll Never”

Apple has a new TV ad with the iPad showing how the iPad is changing the way we do things. Just like the “If you asked” Tv ad.

We’ll never stop sharing our memories… or getting lost in a good book. We’ll always cook for our favorite team. We’ll still go to meetings, make home movies, and learn things. But how we do all this will never be the same.

Also at the end of the ad as a quick little promotion for the new Mac OS X you notice the Alphabet fun app the kid in the video is using one of the words is LION. Good timing and good little promotion huh?

T-mobile offers micro sim card to iPhone 4 users.

20110722-024147.jpg
Looks like T-mobile USA is looking to add more to the 1 million iPhone users it claims to have running on their network by selling micro sims to iPhone 4 users running around with unlocked iPhone 4’s. Currently T-Mobile running iPhone’s can’t run 3G or 4G on T-mobile but edge works fine. This could lead to maybe an iPhone 5 or a future iPad running on T-Mobile in the future. Currently T-Mobile says the sim will cost $10 but you can get them free online.

Apple lets Lion have a free copy of Xcode 4.1

Apple has made Xcode 4.1 free in the Mac App Store and on the Official Developer site. Xcode has been free with Mac OS X for many years now and Apple mysteriously made it $5.00 for all the non-develpers and now it is back to being free which doesn’t affect developers at all but for everyone else this is a great way to make your Lion apps! Go get Xcode from the Mac App Store or the Developer Connection.

  • iCal server 3 allowing you to share calendars with everyone on the server.
  • Mail server to have your mail everywhere.
  • Xsan which allows Macs that can access a Xsan volume do it.

Thats about it. A lot of things to cover today sorry for all the posts!
